The Board of Fire Commissioners meets the second Tuesday of each month at the Candor Fire Station meeting room at 7pm.The last Tuesday of every month they have a workshop at 7pm Public welcome at both meetings. Mailing Address: Candor Fire District, P. O. Box 92, Candor, New York  13743

Nancy is in charge of the rental of the Candor Fire Hall. Meetings are every fourth Monday of the Month.

Third Tuesday of the month is the board members' meeting. The squad meets on the fourth Tuesday.

*  Candor American Legion Post #907 ..., Chad Edwards, Commander 659-4986
Meetings are held the  1 st and 3rd Thursday at 8:00 pm. The Candor American Legion Post #907 sponsors the Duck Races held in June to provide funding for their fireworks display in July. They take an active role with sponsorship of sending an individual to Boy's State, the Little League programs, and bowling teams. They contribute to the food pantry. The facilities are available for use.

The Candor Grange # 1466 meets at various homes in Candor. They host a flea market and craft fair twice a year (spring and fall). Applications are available for membership. And you don't need to be a farmer to join. The Candor Grange Hall is available for rent for small functions.

The Write Now Writers Group meets the 1st Wednesday of the month at 7:00 p.m. in the upstairs of the Candor Free Library. The group is open to the public and currently has an one-time initiation fees of $25.00  to belong

Weekly meetings are held on Monday nights in the basement of the Candor Free Library from 7PM to 9PM (except for Holidays) Dues are $5.00 a year.

Meetings 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month at the EMS building at 9:30 am. Quilt Weekend is the first Thurs, Fri, and Sat in February at the Candor Fire Hall.  We each bring our own sewing supplies and projects and spend the weekend together sewing, eating and socializing. Quilt Show is during the Fall Festival in Candor.  The show runs on Saturday and Sunday
