blood donation won't touch
your life.
The reason people need blood
are numerous. Accident and
burn victims,
Cancer patients, Children
with blood disorders,
Patients with sickle cell
disease.
The list goes on. You can
donate every 56 days.
Everyday in the United
States 38,000 donations are
needed.
So please their is a real
need for blood please make
that call.
The last blood Drive on July
10th we didn't do very good we were
able to help 79 people.

4th Annual Veterans Walk-a-thon and Motorcycle Ride is approaching
“They marched for
us…. Let’s walk or
ride for them”
Are you a Veteran or
do you have a family
member now serving
in the
military? If so, we
would like you to
join us at the 3rd
Annual Veterans
Walk-a-Thon
on Saturday,April 24th at the Candor
High School track.
The walk portion of
the event will begin
at 11:00 am with the
first lap
dedicated to
veterans and family
members. The walk
will continue until
1:00 pm with music
and food
throughout the event
to help keep you in
walking step and
refueled. There is
still plenty of
time to register for
the walk. There is
a $10 registration
fee (which is
refundable if you
have
sponsors totaling
more than $100) or
you can just show
up, donate your $10,
and walk in the
event the day of.
The motorcycle ride
portion of the event
will take off around
11:30 am
with a police
escorted ride.
There is a donation
of $15 for the
driver and $10 for
the
passenger.
Registration for the
ride will begin at
9:00 am. The ride
will end up back at
the Candor
School where there
will be a chicken
bbq ready at
arrival.
Don’t want to walk
or ride – you can
still get some
chicken. The BBQ
will be served at
the Candor
Emergency Building
beginning at 1:00 pm
until gone.
The event is
sponsored by the
Candor
American Legion
Family and is
a
benefit for the New
York
State Veteran Homes
and Medical
Centers. Any
